Always multiply the numbers by how many servings you will actually eat.
2. Calories
Total energy per serving. Neither good nor bad in isolation — context is servings eaten and what else is in the food.

4. Cholesterol

7. Protein

Watch for: partially hydrogenated oils (trans fats), added sugar under many names (corn syrup, sucrose, dextrose, fructose), and long ingredient lists generally correlating with higher processing levels.
Common mistakes
Ignoring serving size. This single mistake makes most nutritional comparisons meaningless. Always scale the numbers to actual consumption.
Focusing on total fat instead of fat type. Avocado has 14g of fat per half — it is overwhelmingly unsaturated and beneficial. Cookies have 7g — mostly saturated and trans. Total fat is not the signal.
Trusting front-of-package claims. "High protein," "low fat," "natural," and "made with whole grains" are marketing claims with minimal regulatory standards. Read the label, not the front.
Comparing labels without matching serving size. Comparing a 30g serving of Brand A with a 45g serving of Brand B directly is meaningless — normalize to the same weight first.
